Results are in: Good News: Cleaning the rubber on the paper grabber made a big difference in getting the paper started properly. It not only worked on Red River Aurora 250 (13.5mil thick), it also worked on Red River Aurora 285 (18 mil thick). Bad News: Frequently, the machine prints a few inches of image and then spits the paper out of the printer. For example, if I print a 21-step gradient ramp towards the top half of a page (in portrait orientation) I can get the whole thing printed. However, If I orient the ramp to run in landscape mode, I only get about half the ramp. This suggests that I had two problems, originally, and that only one of them has been solved by cleaning the paper grabber. If any one has additional suggestions regarding my second problem, I'm eager to hear about them. Be warned, however, that my availability to try things and report back will be limited over the next few days. Its time to take off my photographers hat and put on the Santa hat. RIP SOFTWARE FOR EPSON ARTISAN 1430 DRIVERÄon't worry, I'll be back at my printer by Friday.
